PSALMS 115

When you read the word, do you just read it? do you absorb it? do you let it speak to you? This past week there has been something laying heavy on my mind, troubling my soul and as I was reading through the Psalms, around the twelfth verse of chapter  115 began to stand out to me and this is what I saw

THE LORD HAS BEEN MINDFUL OF ME

HE HAS BLESSED ME

HE HAS BLESSED MY HOUSE

HE HAS INCRESSED MY BLESSINGS

AND BECAUSE HE HAS INCRESED ME

EVEN MY CHILDREN ARE BLESSED

I AM BLESSED OF THE LORD

HE MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH

AND HE BLESSES ME

I encourage you today to find a quite place and take a moment to hear what he has to say to you

YOU DESERVE THE GLORY

YOU DESERVE THE GLORY

AND THE HONOR ,LORD WE LIFT OUR HANDS IN WORSHIP

AS WE LIFT YOUR HOLY NAME

FOR YOU ARE GREAT, YOU DO MIRACLES SO GREAT

THERE IS NO ONE ELSE LIKE YOU……..

I awoke this morning singing this song & it has stayed on my heart all day ,God is great & I would not be where I am today had it not been for him,I truly believe God is about to do something great in our lives

KEEP ON BLOOMING

Spider Lilies

(image from Southern Living )

This past Sunday as we pulled into the church parking lot, I noticed a spider lily standing all alone ,my mind swept to sweet memories of my Husbands grandmother who always had rows of these old thyme flowers edging her front yard ,as I began to ponder on how interesting it was that no matter how many times you cut them down, they always pop back up, their roots seem to run deep

Did you know that’s how we are to be? we are to be rooted in the word so deep that when the enemy cuts us down ,physically, spiritually, mentally, we come back strong, as I looked at this one little spider lily, knowing that it’d be cut down next grass cutting day , that it’d be back because it was created to bloom

You were created to bloom, don’t let anything hinder you from shining your light so that those who walk in darkness may see the light

Isaiah 35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

GOD IS NO STRANGER

God is no stranger in a faraway place

He’s as close as the wind that blows on my face

It’s true I can’t see the wind as it blows

But I feel it all around me & my heart surely knows

That God’s mighty hand can be felt every minute

For there is nothing on earth that God isn’t in it

The sky and the stars, the waves and the sea

The dew on the grass, the leaves on a tree

Are constant reminders of God and his nearness

Proclaiming his presence with crystal-like clearness

So how could I think God was far far away

When I feel him beside me every hour of the day

And I’ve plenty of reasons to know God’s my friend

And that his is one friendship that time cannot end

(poems of faith by Helen Steiner Rice)

I’ve always loved poems, I’m not sure where it began , I just know I’ve always been drawn to poems, this poem talks about how God is always near & nothing can separate us from him

ROMANS 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

Do you have  a made-up mind today that nothing shall separate you from God?

WHERE DOES YOUR HELP COME FROM

Psalm 121
A song of ascents.

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the
moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

So comforting to know
