My deliverer

In him will I trust

He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings shalt thou trust,this made me think of how a   mama hen will shield her babies,by spreading her wings & tuck them close to her side at any sign of danger,

God is our refuge, he protects  & shelters us from danger,oh how sweet to dwell in the secret place of the the most high and the shadow of the almighty.

ARE YOU HUNGRY?

1 Corinthians 11:34

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

As I was preparing a bag of  PF Changs  Shanghai beef ,knowing how we love it because it that good! I laughed as I thought of this scripture, now mind you,I love to eat out as well as the next one especially if you mention Mexican, there has been great eat out experiences as well as not so great, & when we have one of those not so great eat out experiences , I smile at my husband & say ,this could be why the Bible says if a man be hungry let him eat at home LOL!

I want to talk to you now about another kind of hunger,do you hunger for more of God in your life? do you crave to sit at his feet more? Matt.5:6 tells us blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled

Are you hungry today? in John  chapter 7  Jesus is telling his disciples that the bread of God giveth life, he is the bread of life

John 6:35 and Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life, he that cometh to me shall never hunger and he that believeth on me shall never thirst (47-48)  verily,verily I say unto you,he that believeth on me hath everlasting life I am the bread of life

the dictionary defines hunger as a strong desire for food

Jesus is the bread of life, do you have a strong desire for this bread of life?

the dictionary also defines hunger as the discomfort,weakness or pain caused by lack of food

lack of that daily walking and communing  with the Lord causes spiritual weakness,the enemy is roaming to and fro seeking whom he may devour, don’t let him catch you hungry! stay full on the word of God!

THE GREATEST GIFT

 

what comes to mind when you hear the word “gift”? Birthdays? Anniversaries?, Weddings?Christmas?Births?Graduation?House warming? Baby shower? the list can go on & on, can’t it?

* gift….something that is bestowed voluntarily and without compensation*

sometimes there’s those “no special reason gifts” I like to call them “just because” gifts, no rhyme or reason you just want to bless someone

my pastors wife did just that last week by making me this beautiful scarf

of all the gifts we could ever give or receive, the greatest of them all is the gift of God through salvation

*For the wages of sin is death,but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord *Rom.6:23*

he gave his life that we might live, there is no greater gift than that my friend

*For by grace are ye saved through faith and not of yourselves, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD *Eph.2:8*

 

 

 

FOR THE LOVE OF FLOWERS

Who doesn’t love to receive flowers,perhaps you're an outdoors person & love to be surrounded with flowers, building flower beds etc.do you have sweet memories of those sweetheart roses on Valentines Day? is it as important to you now to receive flowers as it was back then?Flowers have always played a big role in Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries,graduations, dates, Proms,hospital stays, special occasions, weddings & so forth

A flower is the reproductive structure of a seed bearing plant, when we see signs of flowers blooming & birds singing we know Spring is near just like in the Song Of Solomon

The flowers appear on the earth,the time of the singing of birds is come and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land (Solomon 2;12)

what’s better than receiving flowers? Look around & see the blessings of the Lord,when our grass needs cutting these yellow flowers are everywhere among other wild flowers

God gives us flowers everyday & aren’t those the best kind?

The next time you see flowers pop up ,know that God loves you!

CALLING ALL PRAYER WARRIORS

 

I received a phone call that an Uncle of mine was rushed to the hospital, his blood pressure is bottomed out, & his kidneys are shutting down, the doctors are only giving him a 50/50 chance of survival but God is able to turn things around, this involves more than just prayers for my Uncle, there are children involved(cousins) grandchildren,a wife, sisters/brothers, as I pray for my Uncle,my cousins & my Aunt I also stand in for the heartache my mother feels as she lifts her sister up in prayer , so you see when the enemy attacks he doesn't just attack that one, he attacks a whole family & families of those families, so when you pray, please remember my Uncle Paul Nipper and all of those involved standing in the gap for this miracle

HE IS RISEN

 

I REMEMBER CALVERY

Where he may lead me I will go

And I remember twas for me that he was slain on Calvary

Jesus shall lead me day and night

He is the truest friend  to me

as I was going through some of my older song books I noticed one had all the Easter hymns together, so this was kind of neat how this particular songbook choose to arrange the songs in this manner

And behold there was a great earthquake for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it, his countenance was like lighting and his raiment white as snow,And for fear of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men, And the angel answered and said unto the women fear not for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified, He is not here, he is risen as he said, come see the place where the Lord lay (Matt.28;2-6)
