Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them (HEB..7:25)
every man has a free will to choose to accept Jesus, yet he loves us so much that he intercedes for us to the father that we may be saved
likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (ROMANS 8:26) vs.27 tells us again that Jesus makes intercession for us
Intercede:to plea on another's behalf, to act or meditate continually
Intercession is often the difference between life & death, war, peace, healing, sickness, success or failure
as a family member lay on his death bed on life support ,as prayers were lifted up all over the world & people standing in the gap interceding, we saw God move in a mighty way, John & Tracy were in church this past Sunday, never give up!
Interceding goes back as far as Genesis in our Bible, Abraham interceded for Sodom not to be destroyed (Gen. 18:22-33)
in Deut.9 Moses intercedes for the people, God was so angry he was about to destroy them because of their wickedness but Moses laid before the Lord 40 days & 40 nights (vs.25)
how long could you pray for someone?
EPHESIANS 3 Paul intercedes for the people, for this cause I bow my knees unto the father of our Lord Jesus Christ (vs.14)
( 1 SAMUEL 7) Samuel intercedes for the children of Israel
and the children of Israel said to Samuel, cease not to cry unto the Lord our God for us that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines (SAMUEL 7;8)
they asked him to cease not! in other words don’t stop! pray till we get a breakthrough! sometimes you’ve got to pray without ceasing for three weeks as with John, no matter how weary you become
pray one for another that ye may be healed, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (JAMES 5:16)
effectual fervent means sufficient to produce a desired effect, the Greek meaning is to put forth power
availeth means to help, to benefit, the Greek meaning is to be strong, to have power, to have strenght to overcome
in Psalms J the children of Israel are reminded had Moses not interceded for them God would had destroyed them, therefore he said that he would destroy them had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breech to turn away his wrath lest he should destroy them (PSALM 106:23)
it is time to stand in the gap for our love ones, it is time to pray for our country, it is time to intercede for Gods mercy, it is simply time to pray my friend!
