SEEK YE FIRST

a436dbb535adb28a06b512baacd97dde[1]

How often are we guilty of saying things  like I have nothing to wear when a special occasion comes along or worry about what to eat from one meal to the next, although there is nothing wrong with planning what to wear, or what to prepare for meals, it’s the worry factor , we are not to be so consumed with worry that it takes our eyes off from where our help comes from

The word abide means to “wait patiently for”, to “continue”, to “endure”, Duet.4:29 tells us but if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shall find him, if thou shall seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul

I can remember  a time when  our kids were just babies & we had no means of enough income coming in due to  a strike at work, but we always sought the Lord & he always met our needs  every time, right on time, oh how true Ps.119 is, Blessed are they that keep his testimonies and that seek him with the whole heart

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

when we seek the lord with our whole heart and he abides in us, it is then blessings are added to us, we seen  some rough times  in the early years but here we are over 30 years later, with three grown children, and eight grand children, we say eight because he was our grandson the moment our daughter & son-law started the adoption procedures, it’s been a long year but the journey’s been worth it, they leave next week for China to bring Reece home, he will change our lives as well as  we will his , God is good! he is the same yesterday, today & forever! never give up on what God has in store for you, when you go into the throne room, expect nothing less than Victory every time!

THIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS

THIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS

this so sweet to trust in Jesus

just to take him at his word

just to rest upon is promise

just to know thus saith the Lord

Jesus Jesus how I trust him

how I’ve proved him o’rer & o’rer

Jesus Jesus precious Jesus

o for grace to trust him more

It was a beautiful sunny day.when Louisa M. Stead, her husband, and her daughter Lily, decided to go for a picnic. on Long Island Sound. While having their picnic, they heard a scream.  from a young boy. Mr. Stead ran to the rescue. Louisa  and her daughter watched helplessly as Mr. Stead and the boy drowned. without her husband, Mrs. Stead became very poor and destitute.Yet God never left her. He provided for her always she.  learned to trust God, and thus the words to the song 'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus.' Shortly after this incident, Louisa and her daughter Lily moved to South Africa where they became missionaries. The song is included in many hymnals and has been recorded by many artists.

ALWAYS PRAY

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
(10 )Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is in heaven.
(11 )Give us this day our daily bread.
(12) And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
(13) And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

HOW FULL ARE YOU PART TWO

Sunday morning as the pastor was preaching he mentioned Gal. 5:22 the fruits of the spirit, how sweet it is when the Lord shows you something & backs it up with conformation

we mentioned in part one how we are to be full of power

full of joy

full of the holy ghost

full of faith

full of glory

full of grace

full of truth

full of light

full of compassion

full of praise

full of good works

full of goodness

full of knowledge

full of peace

full of mercy

full of good fruits

Gal.5 :22 are the gifts of the spirit

love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,

goodness, faith, meekness, temperance

we should always study to show ourselves approved

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

if we know the word then we know the truth & the truth is in us causing the nine gifts of the spirit to flow in our lives
