JELLYBEANS

have you even given much thought to a jellybean when you eat it,where did they come from? how did they originate? what's all the excitement when they appear during the Easter season & why do they seem to only pop up at Easter, why is that?

A Brief History of the Jelly Bean
The exact origins of the jelly bean are lost in time, and only a part of its history is known.
Most experts believe the jelly center is a descendant of a Mid-Eastern confection known as Turkish Delight that dates back to Biblical times.
The shell coating is an offspring of a process called panning, first invented in 17th century France to make Jordan Almonds. The panning process, while done primarily by machine today, has remained essentially the same for the last 300 years. The French began by rocking almonds in a bowl filled with sugar and syrup until the almonds were coated with a candy shell. Today, large rotating pans do the heavy work, while master confectioners apply their true art in adding the ingredients to create just the right shell.
Somehow the two processes made their way to America. Jelly beans quickly earned a place among the many glass jars of "penny candy" in general stores where they were sold by weight and taken home in paper bags. It wasn't until the 1930s, however, that jelly beans became a part of Easter traditions. Because of their egg-like shape, jelly beans became associated with the Easter Bunny who is believed to deliver eggs as a symbol of new life during the spring season.

there are a lot of resources out there as to what each color symbolizes, some cute ideas are to bag them up with the a brief description of what the color represents
RED the blood of Jesus that he shed
BLACK our sin, his death, the final hour
WHITE pure & holy the blood's cleansing power
GREEN the new life that his death brings
PURPLE the royal color a reminder that Jesus is King of Kings
ORANGE is for the Holy fire that glows
PINK is for the infilling of the Holy spirit that your life shows
YELLOW is for the joy & celebration that Easter brings

jellybeans has been around forever it seems & continues to be a big part of the Easter season, if you're a jellybean lover think about what the color represents, Jesus shed his blood for you & me that we might go free, for God so loved the world that he gave his only son JOHN 3:16

2nd SAM..23:4 and he shall be as the light of the morning when the sun riseth even a morning without clouds as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shinning after the rain

LUKE 3:16 John answered saying unto them all,I indeed baptize you with water but one mightier than I cometh the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose ;he shall baptize you with the Holy ghost & with fire

PSALM 51:11 cast me not away from thy presence and take not they Holy Spirit from me

REV:19:16 and he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS

TAKE THE MY JESUS CHALLENGE

My Jesus Challenge in Five Days With Lysa Terkeurst http://lysaterkeurst.com/2011/04/my-jesus-in-5-days/ Day 1: Prayer: Jesus I want to see you. “Blessed are the pure in heart, they will see God.” (Matthew 5:8) Thought: Remember a pure heart doesn’t mean a perfect person. If your pure intention is to see God, you will. While I can’t see the Lord’s physical form, I can see evidence of His activity all around me. Activity: Ask God to open your eyes to the many things in your life that speak to His presence. Look for and record evidence of God around you. Today, start a thankful journal listing the many things around you for which you are thankful. It’s amazing, the more we recognize even the smallest things as gifts from God, the more we start to realize how present He is in our lives. Day 2: Prayer: Jesus I want to hear you. “He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught. The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears and I have not been rebellious. (Isaiah50: 4b-5). Thought: While I’ve never heard God’s audible voice, I do feel Him speaking to me. The best way I’ve found to start hearing the Lord’s whispers in my heart is by getting into His word and letting His word get into me. The more Scripture I memorize the more clearly I hear Him. Ask God to waken you in the morning so you can read the Bible first thing… before checking voicemail, email, and facebook… check in with God’s lifegiving truths. Activity: Commit this week to not open your computer or turn on your cell phone before you’ve spent a few minutes reading the Bible, praying, and asking God to help you hear Him. Day 3: Prayer: Jesus I want to know you. “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” Ephesians 1:17. Thought: I love the words, “I keep asking.” Persistence and consistency are key in our walk with the Lord. Ask the Lord many times today to give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know Him better. Make knowing Him the focal point of every prayer today… more than anything else you are asking for right now. Activity: Write this verse on a card and carry it with you. Make a point to pray this verse out loud at least once during every hour you are awake today. Remember when you pray the word of God, you pray the will of God. God wants you to know Him better. Think about the difference this made in your day as you fall asleep tonight. Day 4: Prayer: Jesus I want to follow hard after you. “Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” (Psalm 86:11) Thought: Is there something dividing your heart and distracting you from seeing, hearing and knowing God more? Pray a courageous prayer. Ask God what is one distraction you could distance yourself from today to more fully embrace an awareness of Him? Is it facebook? Eating unhealthy foods? Soda? Needing attention from another person? A material possession? Whatever it is, spend a day fasting from your distraction. Activity: Each time you think of what you’ve given up, use that as a trigger to pray Psalm 86:11. Day 5: Prayer: Jesus I say yes before I even know what your request will be today. “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” (Phillipians 2:4-5) Thought: The more we know God, the more we want to say yes to Him. The more we say yes to Him the more we realize there are divine opportunities to participate in His activity all around us. As we participate in loving others like Jesus does, our attitude becomes more and more like Jesus. Activity: Today let’s be other’s focused. Let’s ask God for opportunities to honor Him by looking to the interest of others. Let other people in line ahead of us. Let the conversations be about the other person. Make our focus giving rather than receiving.

I KEPT ON PRAYING

You know as I was praying 3 full weeks I mourned The first few days were normal Did not know what was in store The devil gathered round me Said oh Daniel where's your Lord I said he's not come by yet So I'll just pray some more ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This old song is a favorite of some for me to sing from time to time it reminds us that like Daniel the enemy will try to discourage us when we're standing firm on our faith, especially when the answer doesn't come when we think it out to,Daniel didn't give up , he prayed 3 times a day for 21 days, that's a long time to stand firm the last course of this song goes like this ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The 21st day is dawning But somethings different today The devil was not present To hinder me when I prayed Behold a hand just touched me And I hear the good lord say Oh Daniel my beloved son I hear you that first day And I kept on praying I kept on praying Yes I prayed 3 times a day to my Lord ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you're believing God for something today, I encourage you to stand firm, know that he heard you that first day & know that the answer will come in his timing right on time just when you need it

I WILL REJOICE

This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise, be thankful unto him and bless his name for the Lord is good and his truth endureth to all generations

PSALM 118:24 & PSALM100:4-5

If you woke this morning you have something to rejoice about, a fresh new day to choose what to do with,in everything we do lets give him praise in the good times as well as the bad times

I listen as a friend crys out to God for a job, waiting is a hard thing at times but Ps.27:14 reminds us that if we wait on the Lord & be of good courage, he will strengthen our hearts, he reminds us to wait on him, it is during the time of waiting that the enemy begins to dig a pit that we may become entangled with the cares & worries of this life & fall in, becoming discouraged, losing all sight of the promise & the dream God laid out, feasting on Gods word is food for the soul & strengthens the spirit giving strength to look up & the faith to come out of that pit of hopelessness

Ps.119:66 says teach me good judgement and knowledge for I have believed thy commandments

when we pray we should use good judgement & be open to what the spirit trys to tell us, not every door that opens is meant to be walked through

how sweet are thy words unto my taste!yea sweeter than honey to my mouth

Ps.119:103

Are you rejoicing today? Do you wait to feel good to rejoice? Do you rejoice even when things go wrong? when things look hopeless?

there's been rain the last few days & the grass is getting out of hand, making for more work but I will still rejoice as I am reminded what Spring time will bring to the yard

sometimes I get so en gulped in the word & in his presence that the house goes unattended to my liking but I still rejoice when company comes a knocking

I do on occasions have bad hair days but I can still rejoice that it doesn't stop me in my tracks

I often think of a dear friend who while going through chemo, lost all of her hair ,upon picking her up one Sun. for church she said wait! I forgot to brush my hair, then she laughed & said oh never mind I forgot I had no hair! with all she went through she rejoiced because she served a living God & he dwells within her

I rejoice because I have three beautiful grown children, two wonderful caring & supporting son-n-laws & seven precious grandchildren, one out those three grown children is not where they need to be with the Lord, they have lost their way & the enemy desire to created a pit for them as like Joseph in Gen.37 but Prov.22 reminds me that because I trained them up in the ways that they should go as a small child they will not depart from it, I speak life into my child I speak to that pit that the enemy has prepared causing them to give up on the dream God has shown them , causing them to lose all hope of reaching that dream, one thing the enemy never learns is that when a mama gets mad it's worse than that saying, madder than a wet hen, she will turn on you like termite on wood for because I have seen the end of my dream I can go to the pit the enemy has prepared to highjack their dream & there I see my future daughter-n-law & I command that seed to come forth , I rejoice because also coming forth outta that pit is my daughter-n-law to be along with my sweet grand babies

with a growing family my home is not as large as I would like it be or think it should be lol but I still rejoice while baking cookies in the kitchen with the grands, sitting in the middle of the bed reading together, enjoying popcorn & movies in the den, teaching my older grands to sew in my sewing room, sitting here in my office pouring my heart out to whoever happens to click on,

going through old photo's with the grands & telling off on their parents & so much more, I rejoice for there is much to be thankful for,yes compared to some friends homes mine is smaller but others it is larger so with that in mind when I am surrounded by my grands & reminded of all there is to rejoice over it makes my home just the right size

ohh if we could just learn to turn our complaining into rejoicing how much more could God move in our lives, start today by rejoicing & turning that house into a home, begin to fill it with laughter & with memories, my grand babies wont remember how small or how big Nanna's house was they'll remember the good times! There is much to rejoice about, for I want them to know this mighty God I serve,I want them to know how to a prayer warrior , I want them to know that all these promises can be passed down to their children, I want them to learn to rejoice!

Through it All - Hillsong

have you ever been so over powered by his presence you couldn't go to sleep, there's surely a sirring in the atmosphere, the latter rain is coming , are you ready for an outpouring of his power at times I am so overwhelmed by his presence, do I do enough? do I say enough? do I sit at his feet to make a difference?
