WHAT KIND OF PEAR ARE YOU

pear07This past week  our sweet keyboardist blessed us all with more pears than we knew what to do with, for three days there was washing, peeling, cooking, canning, what to do with all those pears! I have to admit I got a little happy when I came across  some that were too far gone, one less to peel LOL

pear02 with mine I made pear sections, pear honey & pear preserves, in the mist of all this non ending pear madness lol I began to hear “what kind of pear are you” nooo Lord you’re not about to give me a message for this ,surely not! lol I hear it again”what kind of pear are you” as a child of God we are like the pear, we’re all  a part of the same tree connected to the same branch in which we draw life from(Jesus)but yet  different which gives us the ability to grow & learn from each other, one thing about pears is that they ripen very quickly once picked & must be dealt with quickly pear06 ,some are green & hard, some mellow & soft, some appear to be good but are blemished on the inside, some are rotten but can be still be saved

WHAT KIND OF PEAR ARE YOU?

(HARD?)

is it hard for people to get through to you, do you put up walls perhaps to keep from getting hurt, perhaps to keep from feeling the conviction of God’s calling, do you know someone that has a hard heart? “For God maketh my heart soft” (Job23:16)

(SOFT? )

when someone does us wrong Prov.15:1 tells us that a soft answer turneth away wrath(NOT WHAT IT SEEMS?)

do you have the world fooled like the pears, some appeared to be spotless & perfect but peeling began to revel hidden blemishes & rot “But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance nor on the height of his stature because I have refused him for the Lord seeth not as man seeth appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart

(ROTTEN?)

“woe unto you scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites for ye are like unto whited sepulchers which indeed appear beautiful outward but are within full of dead men's bones  & of all uncleanness, even so  ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men but within ye are full of hypocrisy &iniquity(Matt 23:27-28)

Job 33 tells us(vs.4) The spirit of God  hath made me & the breath of the almighty hath given me life (vs.7) I also am formed out of the clay ,aren’t you glad God doesn’t throw away the clay? like the pears, a lot could of been thrown away but there was still life in  them, there were still possibilities within them out of  hard pears there came beautiful pear halves pear04 God can take a hard heart & turn it into something beautiful for his glory, from the soft pears came pear preserves pear05 from the rotten  & ones that seemed no hope after removing the rot  there came beautiful pear butter pear03 because I didn’t throw the  ugly pears away, there came an abundance of blessings, God never throws the clay away, he simply takes it & remolds  back to where it belongs, “so do not throw away your confidence it will be richly rewarded, you need to preserve so that when you have done the will of God you will receive what he has promised(Heb.10:35-36)

whatever your need in life is, as long as you have breath you have that chance to reach out & touch the hem of his garment, let God remold you today & make you what you outta be it may appear we’re too far gone at times but as long as we’re still connected to the branch, there is life, there is hope, that branch is Jesus & in him there is hope! “abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine no more can ye abide in me, I am the vine, ye are the branches, he that abideth in me and  I in him the same bringeth much fruit for without me you can do nothing’’ (John15:4-5)

Let God mold you today & turn you into something beautiful for his glory!
